Question of the Week: Spring is in the air! Show off your favorite outdoors reading spot. If you don’t go outside...well where else do you read that isn’t inside your house? We want pics!
From my honeymoon in Virginia Beach, 2013
My favorite reading spot is the beach. The wind in my hair, the smell of salt in the
air, sand between my toes. Reading a
great book as the sun goes down, while the tide rolls in. There is nothing more beautiful, and more
peaceful, in all the world to me.
I work from home currently, and therefore spend the majority
of my reading time in the house. Pssst... while you're here, enter my giveaway for a hardcover copy of The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski!

I wish I lived by the ocean.. I stuck in a landlocked state so I have only seen the ocean a few times in my life.

DeleteThe beach is the place to be! :) I've been a beach bum all my life, it's like my second home & I love the picture, it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm also fortunate to live by the ocean and my favorite spot is also the beach :)

That is one thing I love living on the coast of North Carolina....beaches everywhere. I'm 30 mins for like, 3 beaches!! That's where I am during the summer, but instead of reading, I'm chasing the kids and building sand castles :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture! Makes me miss the beach and yearn for it! SUMMER HURRY UP!
Book Hangovers Blabs Books
I've only been to an NC beach once. It's crazy.
DeleteThat looks amazing! I don't live anywhere near the ocean, or a beach for that matter... but when I travel, its definitely a favorite spot of mine as well!

So, I'm going to sound lame af. But I don't really like the beach. Sand in the crotch, sweltering heat, crowds of sweaty people; yuck. I sound old. Damn. I'm glad you enjoyed Virginia Beach, though! The beau and I went last October for a getaway, and we enjoyed it since it was practically empty and not too warm.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahah! Dude! You do not sound old at all. Okay, I'm fat. I hate when it's crowded and hot, too. Off-season, baby. I got married in Virginia Beach in February. I really like going to the beach in mid-late September. But you're right about the sand in the crotch thing. :)
DeleteI did the beach too! Yippee! Best place ever to read just wish I could spend more time there.

Aww this post makes me long for summer! I'm sick of the snow! I love to read by my mom's pool - the beach here is always so crowded >.< I'd love to have a pivate beach to read like in The Last Song! Lol
ReplyDeleteYeah, one thing I don't like is a crowded beach. I have body issues and don't need help with those. :) Hahah.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I used to live in Florida and I only went to the beach a hand full of times. It's weird, when you live there it stops being a novelty (at least for me. I know others who are there all the time). But that spot looks awesome! Old follower (and thanks for the giveaway!)

Well I've only been to the beach once since moving to NC. There's just something about just a day trip to the beach that sounds unappealing to me. I'd rather be there at night.
